Alexander

Synopsis:
Disney’s “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” follows the exploits of 11-year-old Alexander (Ed Oxenbould) as he experiences the most terrible and horrible day of his young life—a day that begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by one calamity after another. But when Alexander tells his upbeat family about the misadventures of his disastrous day, he finds little sympathy and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him. He soon learns that he’s not alone when his mom (Jennifer Garner), dad (Steve Carell), brother (Dylan Minnette) and sister (Kerris Dorsey) all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Anyone who says there is no such thing as a bad day just hasn’t had one.

What I Thought:
I received free passes to a special screening in exchange for a honest review.

Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥

I was happy to get the opportunity to go to another Disney movie screening and decided to take my 6 year old great nephew, my 6 year old godson, and my cousin (who is also my godson’s mom). This is the second time we have all gone to the movies together and I have to say that it went great. The boys really liked the movie, but it was a little long for them and towards the end I could tell they were getting a little bored. However, the very end did pick up and recapture their attention.

Now, for my cousin and I, this was a great movie. We loved it and laughed so hard at times we were almost crying. I mean how can it not be funny with Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner.

Recommended for:
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is recommended for the whole family. It is rated PG, but is still entertaining to younger children.
